Welcome to Acadican Tutoring. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website. By accessing or using our website or tutoring services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Acadican Tutoring provides personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions for elementary, middle, and high school students in subjects such as STEM, biology, and academic writing. Sessions may be held in person, at designated locations, or online via approved platforms (e.g., Zoom).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to register or book services on behalf of a student. Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian authorize any tutoring engagement or scheduling changes. Prior to receiving any sessions, a terms sheet must be e-signed by the parent or adult student. This sheet outlines our fees, invoicing, expectations, and liability limitations for our sessions. Sessions will not be provided without a signed terms sheet on file. The terms sheet is incorporated herein by reference.

3. Booking and Payment

• Sessions are scheduled by appointment only. Sessions must be scheduled a minimum of 24-hours in advance.

• For recurring sessions, prepayment is required to maintain scheduling priority in future months. Sessions are invoiced monthly. Payment for non-recurring sessions are billed at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed.

• We use Stripe as our payment processor. Accepted payment methods may include credit/debit card or ACH transfer.

• Missed or canceled appointments are subject to the cancellation policy below.

4. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

• Cancelled sessions may be rescheduled subject to tutor availability, however availability is not guaranteed.

• No-shows, or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, will be charged the full session fee.

• Repeated cancellations may result in suspension of services. Please contact us ahead of time if you need to reschedule; we understand, and we’re flexible.

5. Refunds

Refunds are granted at the sole discretion of Acadican Tutoring.

6. Code of Conduct

We expect respectful behavior from all clients; students and parents. We reserve the right to terminate services for disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided during tutoring sessions (handouts, slides, guides) is the property of Acadican Tutoring and may not be shared, sold, or redistributed without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Acadican Tutoring is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. We make no guarantees regarding academic performance improvements.

9. Privacy

Use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your personal information, and all student data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.
